Is It So Difficult to Lose Weight?

Have you found yourself having difficulty selecting clothing because you’ve grown a lot bigger than your previous sizes? If you find it frustrating, then you should start thinking about losing weight. How do you do that? It’s simple. Weight loss can be achieved through exercise and the proper diet.

Simple as it sounds, that is… losing weight is a problem people find really hard to remedy. Others manage to get into a program: they lift weights, they do aerobics and such, but they are still unable to pursue the balanced diet that is required in order to lose weight. Worse, exercising will increase your appetite as your body seeks to recover the stores of calories lost during the exercise. If you don’t eat correctly, then you’ll be putting on more fat and thus gain weight instead of lose it.

At the root of this, you’ll see that it is one’s inability or perhaps refusal to eat the right foods at the right amounts that causes the weight loss programmes to be ineffective. But why is that people continue to indulge in the wrong foods even when it causes them to suffer drastic weight gains? It’s simple: it’s a purely psychological effect. It’s all in the mind.

Depression

One cause of weight gain could be depression. Some people resort to eating a lot when they are depressed, a condition known as “emotional eating.” In some ways, eating can help a person get past their problem for a while and soon enough it develops into a habit and pattern. Before they know it, they are already gaining weight uncontrollably.

Addiction

Who doesn’t like delicious foods? That’s why we develop favorites. However, it is not all the times that a person’s favorite food is also healthy. That can be a reason why people, in spite of their earnest efforts, are not able to maintain a proper diet because they want to indulge on their favorite food. Hence, they also gain weight a lot that way.

So, you see, everything is in the mind. Depression and addiction are the subconscious mind’s manifestations of the things that it is keeping within. Depression, for example, is your subconscious mind constantly feeding you memories of hard times that you should have forgotten about in the first place. In order to lose weight, you must get rid of the baggage you have kept in your subconscious mind so you can develop the necessary mindset that can lead you to success.

Hypnotherapy can help you get rid of those mental barriers and emotional baggages that you’ve been carrying around. Your hypnotherapist will guide you with techniques that will help you get in touch with your subconscious through suggestions that gently show you the reasons for your problems. During hypnosis, you will still be in control but you will also become more open to the suggestions given by your hypnotherapist so that you will wake up feeling refreshed, revitalised and ready to live the life you’ve always wanted, full of positive thought patterns that will soon become part of your behaviour.

Hypnosis makes weight loss easier because you’ll be free of the triggers that caused you to gain weight in the first place. Once those issues are addressed, you will learn to love yourself more and appreciate and accept yourself. This is the key to genuine and lasting weight loss and hypnotherapy gives you the freedom to make healthy choices moving forward.
